Artistic Direction

Artistic Director - RJ Chambers
RJ began his great love of music in early childhood while studying piano and, later, in studying voice. After graduating from high school, RJ pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with an emphasis in vocal performance and graduated with honours. RJ studied under Dr. Leonard Ratzlaff to complete a Masters in Music in Choral Conducting at the University of Alberta and graduated in November of 2014.

Currently, RJ serves as the Tenor Section Leader for the Richard Eaton Singers and the Edmonton Metropolitan Chorus and accompanies the Lac St. Anne Community Choir in Alberta Beach. RJ also serves as the Assistant Conductor of the Richard Eaton Singers and Ante Meridiem (the daytime choir). In addition, RJ teaches a number of adult voice students out of his Edmonton studio.

RJ's greatest passion is choral music and it is his great desire to see every singer find enjoyment in singing. RJ has been conducting the Parkland Celebration Choir since 2011.
Producer - Elaine Duchesne
Affectionately known as "Elaine Duchesne from Stony Plain", Elaine is one of the founding members of the Parkland Celebration Choir. She cannot remember a time when she did not sing and she is involved in many musical adventures. As well, she hosts and produces the Laugh for Life Gala - a sold out charity event held at the Francis Winspear Centre every year in Edmonton. Elaine also ventures off this continent to Zambia, Africa every year with the Simon Poultney Foundation (based out of Spruce Grove). There, she shares with women's groups as well as contributing in music!!

When she is not involved in music, worship, or producing, Elaine can be found traveling the highways. She loves to drive and says it is where she does her best thinking. It may have something to do with a wee blue convertible which, on nice days, the top is always down!!
